We already know what the first Workout of this CrossFit Open 2021 will be like and it will not leave you indifferent.

First of all we want to tell you that we will update this page with more strategies as they appear today. You also have our page with all the information about the Open here :)

It has been an expected announcement and it comes to recover the "old essence" of the Open. We recovered the live announcement by the charismatic Dave Castro and recovered in a certain way the "Regionals". But we are not going to wind up anymore, we are going to what matters.

We have prepared everything you need to be successful in this first week. Of course, do not expect us to tell you how not to suffer, because in this wod you will.

Dave brings us the double unders, a move that has been seen in every year of the open, it's a fixture every year. They are accompanied by an exercise that has never been seen in the CrossFit Open or in any official CrossFit competition, the Wall walk.

1 wall walk
10 double unders
3 wall walks
30 double unders
6 wall walks
60 double unders
9 wall walks
90 double unders
15 wall walks
150 double unders
21 wall walks
210 double unders

Time cap: 15 min.

How to deal with it?

Be careful with these two exercises because they will attack your shoulders in an exaggerated way. Your fight here is in the wall walks, they will become your worst enemy. The first rounds are few repetitions and will not pose any challenge, but as the rounds progress they will get more complicated, so try to spend as little time as possible resting on your hands. When you rest, don't do it "on all fours", it's better to recover those shoulders. Recover between repetitions and do not chain them with little recovery time or they will take forever.

Double Unders are there to make your journey more difficult, so try not to falter and keep a steady pace that you can keep up with. The amount of double unders is very high and a clear attack strategy is vital.
